UNITED MONITORING JOHNSTONE’S SITUATION AT WEST BROM

Premier League giants Manchester United are currently monitoring the situation of their former star Sam Johnstone and are willing to re-sign him to the club, according to reports. Johnstone is a product of the Manchester United youth set up and Rose through the ranks at Old Trafford. However, despite being sent out on loan to different clubs and different occasions, he still was not able to make his debut because of the tough competition existing in the club’s goalkeeping department.

Following several loam stints at different clubs, Johnstone has now found his way to permanent first-team status and is the current first-choice goalkeeper at West Bromwich Albion. He is currently having a great season and is currently regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in the division this season following his saves-per-game ratio in this current campaign.

A host of clubs, especially in the Premier League, have been monitoring his situation and are interested in making a move for him this summer. Liverpool, Everton, and Leeds United have all registered an interest in the goalkeeper as they look to get an outstanding goalie and add to their team.

His former club, Manchester United, have also recently joined in the running for his signature and are reportedly willing to bring him back to where it all started for him. United do have a goalkeeping dilemma currently, with Dean Henderson and David De Gea battling for the first-choice spot at the club, and that could end Johnstone’s interest in wanting a return to the club.

West Brom are nearing relegation and if they do get relegated, Johnstone would be more than likely expected to leave, but he would want to go to where he can become a starter instead of sitting on the bench.
