West Brom Confirm Third Signing Of The January Transfer Window

Premier League club West Bromwich Albion have confirmed their status as one of the busiest clubs of the January transfer window after subtly confirming their third arrival of the winter transfer window. The Baggies have announced that they have completed their third capture of this window anger finalizing a deal that saw Galatasaray striker Mbaye Diagne move from Turkey to England.

The striker has swapped the Turkish Super Lig for the English Premier League and will remain in the English top-flight for the rest of the current campaign. The 29-year-old Senegalese international striker has featured in 19 games this season and has impressed by netting a fascinating number of 11 goals in that period.

Having been in such superb form so far this season, he was already making waves and also attracted a lot of interest from a number of clubs but it appears as though West Brom have finally got their man, to the excitement of the Baggies head coach.

Joining West Brom now means that Diagne has represented as many as twelve different clubs in his footballing career. He also has a record of scoring goals wherever he has been at. However, West Brom will become the first English club he will be playing for. West Brom manager Sam Allardyce had previously spoken of his desire to bring in an additional striker to his squad before the transfer window gets shut on Monday night after sanctioning the loan departures of Kenneth Zohore and Charlie Austin.

In another news, despite reports making the rounds that Nigerian player Ahmed Musa and West Brom have agreed that the player will be granted a free-agent trial at the club, it appears as though that will no longer happen as the player was nowhere to be found at the Hawthorns.
